Import video

  • Category: Import to connected app

What it is

Imports a video (or the kept segments after pause removal / rough cut) onto the timeline.

This node grew out of the related Lab tools: wires in a blueprint replace the step-by-step clicks in the Lab, which makes it easy to reuse and to hand to an agent.

Inputs

NameDescription
Timeline videoVideo on the timeline
Kept segmentsThe time segments to keep
Timeline summaryTimeline position and related info

Outputs

NameDescription
Written (pulse)Tells downstream nodes they can continue once the import is done

How to connect

After pause removal or a talking rough cut, always connect the kept segments as well.

Settings

The panel defaults are enough; there are no extra required settings.

Typical downstream

Get audio

Notes

  • Before writing back to the editing app, make sure LmBox is connected to the matching app (DaVinci Resolve / Premiere / After Effects and so on).
  • If you need to take timeline media again after the import, add a new Get node. Do not connect back to the same Get node.

Agents / MCP

For agents or developers (optional)
  • Once LmBox's open MCP is connected, the full ports and settings can be read from the catalog. This page is written for people, not around machine fields.
  • Node type: host-timeline-apply-video
