Installing the DaVinci Resolve plug-in on Mac
This page is for the older in-app plug-in for DaVinci Resolve. For the current setup, install the LmBox desktop app and add the plug-in from the Plug-in manager.
Note
Make sure DaVinci Resolve is closed before installing; if it is not, restart it after the install.
You can use either the One-click install or the Universal manual install method below.
Note
On some Macs, because of disk permissions, DaVinci Resolve may not open after the install. In System Settings, turn on Full Disk Access under Privacy & Security for DaVinci Resolve.
Compatibility
WARNING
Only the full version of DaVinci Resolve is supported, such as Studio (the Mac App Store version is excluded). If you use the free public version of DaVinci Resolve, or one bought from the Apple App Store, its plug-in support is cut down and lacks Workflow Integration. Restoring that is a roundabout process, but it can be solved; special thanks to the user Yuan Ye for the comparison data and the solution.
