Guide

What it solves

Pain pointWhat this page does
An establishing shot or an intro needs a piece of musicSwitch to Music, write the mood or lyrics, generate, preview and import
You need foley such as steps, impacts or ambienceSwitch to SFX, describe the sound itself (such as footsteps, a dog barking), generate a short clip and import
You want to write the prompt from the pictureCapture the current frame in the top bar, and generation adds a line of description from the picture
You want to hear several versions of the same lineTwo versions per run; click the list to switch and preview

Before you start

  1. Install and open the LmBox desktop app
  2. In the sidebar go to (a top-level page)
  3. Sign in first. If the top bar shows an unlock prompt for this feature, follow it before using the page
  4. To import to the timeline: choose the editing extension in the sidebar and make sure it is connected

How to use it (shortest path)

  1. Click New in the top bar, or open a project (generated results go into that project's list).
  2. Below the input box choose Music or SFX.
  3. For music, choose Idea or Lyrics; tick Instrumental for no vocals. For SFX, just describe the sound.
  4. Optional: click the screenshot button in the top bar to grab the current timeline frame.
  5. Click generate, wait for the two versions, then click the list to preview.
  6. Right-click an item and choose Import to write it to the connected timeline.

Generation uses caps. A full track and a short effect are priced differently, and the button shows the caps for this run.
