Ink
Ink lays a transparent canvas over the whole screen so you can circle key points, draw lines and write a few words. Good for explaining, meetings or screen recordings, so others see what you are pointing at. While the overlay is on, the slot on the floating toolbar has a lit border.
After you drag Ink into an empty slot, click the slot on the floating toolbar to turn it on or off. When you turn it off, the strokes from this session are cleared.
What it can do
| Capability | Description |
|---|---|
| Pen | Plain line drawing |
| Highlighter | Semi-transparent highlighting |
| Eraser | Erase what you drew wrong |
| Text | Click once for a cursor; after typing you can click back in to edit |
| Color | Theme color, yellow, red, white, black |
| Undo / Clear | Step back, or wipe the whole screen |
| Save screenshot | Save the current main screen (with the ink) as an image |
When you record the screen, the ink goes into the picture too, so the circles stay in your tutorial.
Works with all Toolkit hosts.
